What the hell are 'tomtits?'
I love my iPhone 4, much as I loved my previous iPhone 3G, but the logic of its predictive text (or maybe just the dictionary it's referencing) often escapes me. For instance, when adding delicious 'Tostitos' (lime flavor = the best) to a recent grocery list, my iPhone helpfully offered this:
Now it was right about 'avocados.' |
A quick Google search taught me that 'tomtit' can be used as shorthand for titmouse, a stylishly-coiffed bird, but even that usage has got to be limited to serious ornithologists, right?
I also found a pretty cool (and possibly Swedish?) children's museum called The Tom Tits Experience, which, I have to say, is not what I'd expect from something so named.
But how does my iPhone know about both of these and not my beloved Hint of Lime Tostitos? Later, my iPhone tried to suggest 'tomtits' again...
...but I tell you I'll have none of it! I just need a way to add the Frito Lay product line to the iPhone's internal dictionary.
